SparkCognition is seeking a senior server software engineer for the financial services team. The developer will be part of an integrated Agile team that includes a web and server engineers, QA, design, and a product owner. At SparkCognition, you will work with the latest technologies to deliver value in financial trading and portfolio optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field
At least 7-10 years programming, preferably with a focus on Python but not required
Proficiency with Agile development practices
Experience developing multi-tenant architectures
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams with engineers and data scientists
Ability to drive quality, security, and performance into the product and team practices

Must have expertise in some of the following:

Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (i.e. PostgreSQL). Ability to optimize SQL and make schema changes.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, etc.)
Writing REST APIs in a Python framework, preferably Django or Flask
Microservices architectures
Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Cloud computing architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
