We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our DevOps community. You would be working alongside our product teams to improve the way we build, release and iterate on our software. You would be working on initiatives that develop and facilitate the development of our infrastructure and tooling.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Automated infrastructure creation, monitoring and deployment
  • Evaluation and implementation of tools (monitoring, improvements, security, automation)
  • Best practices as related to risk mitigation of downstream scalability, performance, resilience, reliability and security
  • Evaluation, monitoring and development of cost models. Participation in estimation sessions
  • DevOps culture coaching and knowledge sharing with the wider AI community

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to help implement robust and scalable software products
  • Design and develop cloud infrastructure according to the Babylon standards and practices
  • Knowledge sharing and training of non-experts. We want our engineers to get better over time
  • Contribute in general to team deliverables

EXAMPLE SCENARIOS YOU WILL BE HELPING US WITH:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Azure DevOps for build and release pipelines
  • Kubernetes (EKS) for container orchestration
  • Database administration
  • Machine learning operations

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Building and supporting teams creating cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud vendor, preferably AWS
  • Expertise in virtualization, containerization and automated provisioning of infrastructure
  • Hands-on coding in any major programming language
  • Advanced understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile practices
  • An open collaborative mind

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working in a regulated environment
