We are looking for an innovative, talented, and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our quality assurance team. Our Senior Software Development Engineer in Test will collaborate with our Engineering team and our Product Design team to build automated end-to-end tests for our software. Leveraging extensive experience in automation and testing technologies, this role will ensure our software meets rigorous quality and security standards while providing a compelling experience for our users and their customers. The Senior SDET will also work with the Engineering Operations team to ensure best practices in continuous integration and continuous delivery of the SamCart platform.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Contribute automated tests validating the SamCart front ends, back ends, APIs, and services.
• Collaborate with engineers to define and implement testing in parallel with the software development process.
• Develop working knowledge of the entire SamCart application stack, including tests at all levels: unit, integration, and end-to-end.
• Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments.
• Evangelize best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability; champion clean code and the concept of the test pyramid.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional experience developing test automation suites
• Expert knowledge of web application testing automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, and CypressJS
• High proficiency with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline
• Proficiency with Git and Docker
• Fluency with scripting languages such as PHP, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby
• Experience testing SaaS applications running in AWS
