What you'll do:

The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test will be responsible for testing and reporting data quality issues with Invitae's Core Platform. The role includes the following:

• Provide work direction to the test automation team
• Provide technical direction to the test automation team
• Incorporate test automation into CI/CD process by working closely with DevOps
• Actively collaborating with a team of test automation and feature development engineers
• Design, develop and implement automated testing for backend services and web applications
• Help establish quality metrics and best practices for QA process
• Report on quality metrics on a weekly basis

What you bring:

• 5-7+ years of experience working as a Senior Software Developer in Test
• Programming experience with JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS
• Experience with building or enhancing front-end and backend test automation frameworks 
• Experience with one of the three Selenium/Cypress.IO/PlayWright
• Experience with integrating test automation framework with CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins/TravisCI/CircleCI/GitHub actions)
• Experience using code coverage tools (e.g. SonarQube/CodeClimate etc.)
• Experience using JIRA for issue management
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches
• Diligent and self-driven
• Good communication skills and fast learner
• Thorough with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic startup-like environment
• Experience within the Healthcare domain is a plus
