The Role
We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated, and self-driven Senior Software Engineer (SSE) to join our Orchestration software engineering team. The charter for this team is crucial to our overall business strategy, in building the platforms to identify and understand our consumers’ home buying goals so that their end-to-end experience can be personalized and orchestrated. This will be accomplished through rapid experimentation and learning through the full technology stack.
The SSE is a key contributor though all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will be able to make an impact, leveraging your collaboration and emerging leadership abilities to execute on various organizational initiatives, designing and delivering industry-leading solutions.
What will you do?
o Design, develop, deliver, and maintain product capabilities and features that delight consumers and drive strong business outcomes
o Build high quality and highly scalable services leveraging advanced machine learning and predictive analytic models
o Design and operationalize data pipelines using advanced data architectures deployed on Amazon Web Services
o Work collaboratively in an Agile team to plan and execute at high velocity, and across teams to fulfill product vision
o Explore technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to introduce new innovations in meeting business and customer goals
o Coach and guide your team to implement strong engineering standards and practices
What will you bring?
o 5+ years of experience in full-stack software design and development – you can understand and communicate a feature design from model to endpoint to the front-end
o Experience with developing complex software systems using modern frameworks, tools, and systems; experience with Node.js and React is a definite asset
o Ability to decompose complex business problems and communicate solutions succinctly
o Experience with cloud-based architectures, development, and deployment
o A strong results and outcome-driven focus, delivering value to customers rapidly
o Strong empathy for our customers and a passion for exceeding their expectations, always!
o A passion for learning, continuous improvement, sharing, and working in a team environment
o Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
