We are looking for someone who enjoys being the technical leader of a high functioning team building experimental applications on the cutting edge at CLEAR. You will be designing and architecting green field applications with modern web technologies to deliver our end users frictionless experiences.  

What You Will Do:

• Join an extremely talented team and deliver a maintainable product with a focus on time to market and great customer experience
• Develop and test new, and enhance existing, React JS, Python  and Java client and server-side applications
• As a Sr. Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for developing & maintaining the team’s applications with high standards and quality code 
• Uncover requirements working closely with product managers; suggest technical designs necessary to implement features and get teams’ buy in  
• Define and establish best practices for testing and designing reusable code
• Be influential in making architectural, design, and technical stack recommendations within the team. Using your experience, you will be expected to mentor other engineers on the team using techniques such as paired programming and code reviews.  You will also be expected to drive the agile process to ensure the team is always learning and efficient.
• Balance feature development with tech debt and ensure the code is well tested, readable, maintainable and free of regression defects 
• Drive the operational excellence of the services owned by your team, including continuously improving the performance and security of the application

Who You Are:

• You have 8+ years of experience developing using JavaScript, Python, Java or similar languages.
• Experience with front end libraries like React and server-side frameworks like Dropwizard or alike
• Proven experience building an end-to-end application, front-end and back-end, defining and building APIs, databases, business logic and UI
• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS, CI/CD pipelines, jenkins, and Terraform / Terragrunt.
• 6+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with building green field applications and taking a product from 0-1
• Experience with writing Unit and integration tests for new features added to the code bases
• Curious about technology and believe in constant learning
• Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive with the intention of flawless execution
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and collaboration skills in English
• Knowledge on NodeJS is a plus
