ABOUT THE TEAM

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Advisors Team, you will be joining a talented group of engineers building the software to offer Bestow's innovative, fully digital life insurance products through traditional insurance agents. We cut a process that traditionally takes agents 4-8 weeks of client and carrier management down to 10 minutes. 

If you enjoy building new user interfaces, creating dynamic backend systems, and enabling a team of engineers to be the best, we would love to talk to you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Develop core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL
• We're a startup with a long product roadmap. You will help and accelerate foundational services to scale the output of our product teams. 
• Resolve issues with previously delivered features
• Write unit and integration tests for code you create
• Peer review code developed by others on your team
• Ensure software is secure, maintainable
• Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers
• Encourage automation and continuous improvement.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Professional experience with Golang (Go)
• Familiarity with React and Redux preferred, or desire to learn!
• Experience using Docker for local software development.
• An advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices
