About the Position

REX is rapidly growing and building amazing consumer solutions revolutionizing the real estate experience allowing buyers and sellers to purchase a home without being bothered by traditional real estate middlemen.

We’re seeking an exceptional Software Engineer with expertise in Mobile App development, to join us in creating impactful solutions for both internal and external customers. Every engineer at REX has an outsized impact in leading the development of projects that define the future of the company.

Responsibilities

The Engineer will:

• Build user-facing products and internal workflow tools
• Build apps from scratch, as well as develop and improve existing applications
• Participate and guide the team in making an intelligent and pragmatic technical solutions.
• Apply deep understanding of web technologies to reason about engineering and design tradeoffs.

Experience & Qualifications

Our ideal candidate brings the following:

• Care about building an app right – with attention to clean, well-tested code
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, React Native and HTTP Network Requests
• Passion and an understanding of the nuances of Mobile technologies
• Good grasp of UI Libraries including their concepts and best practices
• Ability to write high-performant, reusable modules for UI components and a strong sense for good UI/UX
• Experience building large, modular, and maintainable code bases
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Native Mobile apps
• iOS - Swift or Objective C
• Android - Kotlin or Java
• Expertise in Server-Side programming
• Node.js or Python
• Experience with React.js, HTML, CSS
• NPM Packages and Publishing

Social Mission

REX sets aside a portion of all income from selling homes to fund homes for families in dire need. It is our mission to contribute one home for every 50 homes we sell. We started in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, where we partnered with World Housing and the Cambodian Children's Fund to help homeless families get back on their feet.
