Who You Will Work With

In a Zero Trust Architecture, the Trust Engine is a key component that assesses the risk of individual requests. On Duo’s Trust Engine team, we work with data scientists to translate machine learning research into Trust Engine features that assist our customers improve their security posture.

What you'll do...

• Build services that power machine learning models and deliver insights back to customers.
• Design APIs to translate Duo activity into Trust Engine predictions and insights.
• Architect solutions to productionize research and make organizations safer with less effort.
• Architect key components of the Trust Engine powering the future of authentication at Duo.
• Partner with data engineers and data scientists to deliver machine learning product features to millions of users at more than 21,000 Duo customers.
• Improve production data pipelines to support machine learning product goals.
• You will chip in to infrastructure and architectural decisions. You will assist with sprint planning and breaking down tasks.
• Provide technical mentorship to more junior team members via code reviews, written guides, 1:1s, and other professional development activities.

You should have...

• Experience as core contributor on customer facing engineering projects.
• Developed server-side web applications, REST APIs, and/or microservices.
• Programming skills in Python or Node.js.
• The ability to clearly communicate your ideas within and across teams.
• A commitment to quality and an eye for details.
• The agility to work in the rapid, unpredictable environment of a high-growth tech organization.

Even better if you have...

• Worked with data pipelines or distributed message queues.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming patterns as in Python’s asyncio or Twisted, Node, .NET.
• Experience running deployments at scale in AWS or similar IaaS services.
• A passion for security and privacy (especially Zero Trust).
• Partnered with data science teams in an engineering capacity in the past.
• You love to tackle sophisticated problems revolving around data.
