What we’ll do together…
As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Apps Team, you will bring your development skills to our already diverse and talented group. We'll work together within the agile scrum framework toward our goal of making security easy to understand and easy to implement. We tackle real problems for real users and push our product forward for the betterment of everyone.
Our challenge is an unusual one, while we spend the majority of our time building new features for our primary application in Python we also support a vast array of open source projects that span multiple languages including (but not limited to) Python, C, Java, Ruby, PHP, and Javascript. We don’t expect that you already know all of these, only that you are willing to learn and contribute to our team in a meaningful way. We emphasize software craftsmanship and apply it our development practices through Testing, Continuous Integration, Build Automation, and Mentorship. We prioritize team success highest and tend to swarm on sprint work to meet our collective goals
Skills you have…
- You are excited by the challenges of the security field and want to help make people safe.
- You have a history of writing performant, maintainable code using a server-side language.
- You value automated testing as much as writing expressive clean code.
- You already have experience with event-driven networking libraries like Twisted specifically; or asynchronous software development in general.
- You can go beyond the terminal to develop user interfaces that unlock the full potential of the software you write.
- Bonus Points for existing security expertise or experience with LDAP and Radius protocol.
