The Opportunity:

As part of the Digital Platform Team, you have a unique opportunity to develop real-time data solutions from an expansive event pipeline and access to cutting-edge technologies to solve problems of scale and speed. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop data pipelines to collect, enrich, and persist information on Big Data platforms in Cloud
• Develop real-time event processing jobs on stream data platforms such as Kafka and Spark streaming
• Develop data processing jobs using frameworks such as Spark and MapReduce 
• Develop RESTful API services enabling programmatic access to data products
• Design and implement high-performance data models in NoSQL database technologies
• Dockerize apps and microservices for CI/CD deployment
• Participate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions
• Develop and maintain high-quality software using best-in-class tools: Git, Splunk, New Relic, Datadog, Qubole, and Jenkins

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• 6+ years of development experience including at least 2+ years working with Big Data technology platforms
• Strong expertise in at least one of the programming languages - Java, C++, Python or Scala
• Strong understanding of object oriented design and programming principles
• Experience with big data processing, real-time event processing, aggregation strategies, and performance optimization
• Experience includes building high performance and large-scale end-to-end distributed systems
• Proven technical lead using data technologies such as Cassandra, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Spark
• Nice to have experience developing RESTful API services and developing applications on AWS platform
