We are based in Austin, TX and growing our engineering team. This person needs a strong technical background, experience working in production environments and an ability to mentor junior developers.

Job Description

An experienced engineer who can analyze problems and implement simple, maintainable solutions. Capable of learning new technologies and building for unfamiliar environments. Collaborates with team members designing architecture, conducting functional analysis and matching technology solutions to business problems.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in the role, you will need to show initiative, be able to make critical decisions and take responsibility for them. You will have a team player mindset and be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will bring empathy to engineering by seeing people instead of roles, solutions instead of problems, and maintaining a positive attitude in the face of challenges. In addition, you will have:

5+ years working as a Software Engineer with progressively more responsibility.

• Willingness to learn new frameworks, languages, and technologies.

• Experienced in multiple flavors of JavaScript like Node, Express, React, Vue, Angular, etc.

• A solid understanding of data modeling and data layer management.

• Experience designing and implementing APIs and web services.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the development team to project stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with developers, designers, solution architects and product managers.

• 1+ year experience working in an Agile development environment using SCRUM principles.

• AWS (EC2, SQS, ECS, Lambda)

• PHP 7.x
