Senior Software/DevOps Engineer

What You’ll Do Here:
At PrecisionLender, we operate fully in Azure cloud environment. We deploy to our customer facing production environment 10 or more times per week during business hours. From code check-in to production deployment takes forty-five minutes. The speed of our delivery allows us maximum agility in our development process. Our Software Delivery team currently supports 27 production pipelines and 15 additional purely pre-production pipelines. We are always looking for ways to improve our pipeline processes. As part of the Product team, our role is to support the software engineers in providing swift and valuable changes to our customers.
We are an Azure focused Cloud Engineering team that provides infrastructure, orchestration, and software delivery support to our product engineering organization.
Our team's mission includes:
• Creating a positive developer experience for delivering software
• Acting as domain experts on Azure Cloud for the Q2 organization
• Supporting product development teams with cloud infrastructure and monitoring
• Maintaining standards for secure, highly available infrastructure
• Scaling our application infrastructure to ensure positive customer experience
• Supporting continuous integration and delivery for PrecisionLender
In 30 days you will:

In 60 days you will:
• Begin to work independently on routine tasks.
• Gain experience in our systems by delivering project work

In 90 days you will:
• Lead projects to improve our infrastructure
• Collaborate independently with partner teams
• Contribute technical expertise to incident response and architectural discussion
• Work to improve our monitoring and alerting systems
Required Experience & Education:
BS in Computer Science or Engineering or additional experience in the field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience
6+ years of professional software development experience
2+ years of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• 2+ years of professional experience working with CI/CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure Devops)
• Proficiency in one or more programming (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go, Javascript) and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell) languages
• Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure your work by both the customer value and technical quality
• A bias for action tempered with thinking about the implications of the work you're doing
• Enthusiasm for the field and professional development/improvement outside the day to day job
• Strong preference for automating repetitive manual tasks
Additional / Preferred
• 2+ years experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role
• 2+ years experience with an Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform or similar)
• 2+ years experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and dashboard technologies
• Experience leading cross team projects and mentoring other engineers
