What We Need

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the craft of software development. It is a critical role, supporting and maintaining marketing websites for multiple brands. You will be working with a cross-functional squad of Software Developers, QA Engineers, Graphic Designers, Marketing Specialists, and other creatives, reporting to the Director of Engineering. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, team-oriented, independent thinker looking to grow their skills and desire to take on exciting new challenges. You will work with designers to bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and how it works. You will assist with web speed optimization, search engine optimization, and google tag manager maintenance along with web development. As a senior member of the team, you will lead by example and identify opportunities to improve our practices.

What You Do

• Collaborate with the Creative Team implementing their designs into responsive and content-rich web pages on the Drupal 8 CMS
• Support the Marketing Team with SEO and web speed optimization requirements within Google Standards (Page Speed Insight / Lighthouse)
 
• Organize and maintain 3rd-party plugins/scripts via Tags/Trigger/Variable on GTM (Google Tag Manager)

• Assist with weekly marketing site releases on the Pantheon development platform
• Support the Product Team in the implementation of A/B testing, multivariate testing, and split URL testing
• Manage timelines and meet project deadlines from project managers
• Work closely with the Director of Engineering, Creative Director, and Project Managers
• Grow skills of less experience Developers on the team
• Initiate and drive improvements to our practices and technology stack, making pragmatic decisions
• Ensure long term maintainability of source code and websites through code reviews, unit tests, documentation, and other techniques

What You Bring


• Drupal 8 experience
• 7+ years of HTML5, CSS3, JS, jQuery & PHP development experience.
• Knowledge of responsive web design/development (e.g. Flexbox, CSS Grid & Bootstrap 3/4)
• Experience with preprocessors and task workers (e.g. SASS and Gulp)

• Proficiency working with version control systems, preferably GIT
• Experience working with and managing Drupal instances on hosting providers like Pantheon
• Strong understanding of web speed optimization & SEO

• Experience with GTM (Google Tag Manager) & GA (Google Analytics)
• Familiarity with digital experience analytics tools & A/B testing tools (e.g Fullstory & VWO)

• Competent skills in Photoshop and Illustrator and attention to detail, enabling you to deliver a pixel-perfect implementation of provided designs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
