Bear & Giraffe is looking to hire a Software Developer with 2+ years of experience building web applications using modern web technologies. B&G is an Austin based web development agency and where you will get to work with different clients, helping them build their products.

About You

Forget the lists of 10+ years of experience in some weird tech requirements, and forget whiteboard interviews. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow and can work independently, but not afraid to ask questions. If you are the type of person who is not afraid of tackling something new with a "I will figure it out" attitude, then B&G is the place for you.

For this position, we are looking for someone with some experience building web applications using something like Ruby on Rails or NodeJS, and with familiarity with both the backend and frontend.

Your Day to Day

Your daily task will include one of the following:

• Standup call
• Writing code
• Sprint planning
• Backlog grooming
• Client meeting
• Mentor meeting/pairing session

We'll do everything we can to clear up your calendar so you can focus on doing what you love, solving problems, but every now and then there will be meetings.

You'll be working remotely, so if you need to take the dog out for a walk or put some laundry in the washing machine that's a great way to give your brain a break from the 1s and 0s.
