Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

As a Software Developer on our TestNav team you will be working with an energetic and talented team of engineers to create advanced tools for measuring people’s knowledge and skills.

Provide development work primarily using Javascript, HTML and CSS.

Utilize other development languages as appropriate.

Participate in all stages of software development, including planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.

Understand and perform basic analysis of previously written software, and be able to modify and maintain the code.

  • Help to create an environment of collaboration and world class software engineering practices - we provide training, book clubs, pair programming to all members of the team.
  • Participate in reviews of own work and work of colleagues - your code will be reviewed and you will be happy to review others work.
  •  

Perform development tasks with a high level of quality, and within scheduled time frames.

Required Education & Skills

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in software engineering
  • Strong interpersonal skills; professional approach to working with others
  • Strong Object Oriented and MVC programming skills and concepts
  • Experience using and developing service oriented applications and web services (SOAP, REST)
  • Reasonable knowledge of Linux platforms
  • Knowledge of agile software development practices
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience required
  •  

Desired Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Experience with supporting technologies like jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSON
  • Strong problem solving, analysis, design and testing skills
  • Works well both individually and in a small team environment.
  • Ability to think creatively, research, adapt to circumstances, learn from co-workers, and share information and experiences
