Software Engineer - Enterprise Enablement Team
We are Duo, and we’re here to democratize security for everyone. Our mission is to protect the mission of our customers like Facebook, Twitter, Kayak and Etsy by making security simple.
We’re a diverse crew of makers and builders, skaters and coders, filmmakers and DJs, teachers and students brought together by a shared belief in adding value to the world. This diversity allows us to bring an empathetic approach to solve some of the most complex global business and security challenges faced today.
What we’ll do together…
As a Software Engineer on the Enterprise Enablement Team, you will put your full stack development skills to the test to help us scale our technology for large partners. This team owns the Duo open source, plugins, and webSDK software that enables big deals to happen.
We are hiring for multiple positions on this team in 2018 and are looking for intermediate (3+ years exp) and experienced (5+ years exp) developers with a range of technical abilities. We'll work together within the agile scrum framework to create deeper integrations with top Duo Select partners.
We write and maintain code in multiple languages including (but not limited to) Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, and Javascript. We emphasize software craftsmanship and apply it our development practices through Testing, Continuous Integration, Build Automation, and Mentorship. We prioritize team success highest and will swarm on sprint work when needed to meet our collective goals
Skills you have…
- You are excited by the challenges of the security field and want to help make people safe.
- You love working with modern frameworks and concepts (e.g. ES6, Backbone.js, React) and will push us toward further improvements.
- You have a history of writing performant, maintainable code using a server-side language (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby).
- You value automation as much as writing expressive clean code.
3 Reasons why you should apply…
- You thrive having the autonomy to operate in a meaningful problem space solving real problems for real people.
- You work best in teams of high-performers who are passionate about a common goal.
- You are happy when your end-users are happy and frustrated when they are frustrated.
This job may not be for you if…
- You only code alone and aren't willing to be mentored.
- You lack a real passion for writing high-quality secure software that is backed by an equally mature approach to testing.
- You stress under the ambiguity of a problem and default to others to provide you with the answers.
- Your first instinct is to point out why something can’t be done rather than focusing on what the customer problem is.
- You tire at the thought of a steady, deliberate pace in both a product and company.
- You aren't looking to take your career to the next level at a best-in-class SaaS company.
Does this sound like it was written for you? Excellent! Please apply and let’s explore this together.
