Software Engineer- SailU
About the Sail-U Program:
Sail-U is a multi-week immersive program held at our HQ in Austin, TX where you can expect to learn about Identity Access Management and SailPoint's products and company history. Learning from the best of the best, you will get to hone your technical skills and establish your career at SailPoint. We are on a mission to deliver the next generation of SaaS identity security excellence and we're excited you're interested in setting sail with a leading technology company. You will join our team full-time, beginning in the summer of 2022. You'll be starting off alongside several other teammates from across the US to officially kick off your career with SailPoint.
At the conclusion of the program you will settle into your new role and team.
Requirements to participate in the program:
- Recent or upcoming grad (06/22 deadline)
- Foundational coding knowledge
- Degree in computer science or relevant technical focus
- Ability to work within the US
- Ability to travel to Austin, TX and work in person for three weeks in June- preferred
About the role:
As a Software Engineer you will help build and scale our flagship product, IdentityNow. IDN is a cloud-based SaaS identity analytics product. We are looking for well-rounded backend or full stack engineers who are passionate about building and delivering reliable, scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS products.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust Java based microservices.
- Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements.
- Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing.
- Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of educational/professional software development experience
- Strong Java experience
- Great communication skills
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficient experience with object-oriented analysis and design skills
- Proficient experience with an object-oriented programming language and techniques
- Proficient understanding of Java Frameworks
Preferred:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Continuous Delivery
- Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics
