What we're looking for

Senseye is seeking a software engineer to join our team in our new office in downtown Austin! While certifications and degrees will be considered, we’re looking for abilities and attitude. The right person loves solving challenging problems and will not stop until a solution meets all requirements. Attention to detail is imperative. Adaptability and flexibility are critical. You will work both independently and also as a team player. You will be creating cross-platform, native software in Python and C++.

What you need

• Background in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related technical field
• Fluency in C++ and Python
• Experience collaborating on professional or open source projects
• Ability to write safe, clean, and tested code
• Understanding of how to write and maintain unit and functional tests
• Understanding of C++ and Python build systems

Bonus points if you have

• Experience with OpenCV and associated Python/C++ libraries
• Experience in real-time localization, object detection, and extrapolating measurements from images
• Experience with processing high speed and high resolution video in real time on commodity hardware
• Experience with one or more general purpose deep learning frameworks including but not limited to Tensorflow, Theanos, Keras, Caffe, etc
• Experience reading and implementing research papers
• Statistics/Data Science experience is a plus
• Experience building and setting up hardware as needed
• Experience solving Computer Vision related problems

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a FBI background check
• Position requires access to Covered Defense Information for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
• Senseye maintains a drug free workplace and conducts pre-employment substance abuse testing. Senseye may also conduct substance abuse testing during employment, in accordance with its policies and customer requirements. Employment is subject to successfully completing and passing such tests.
