This individual will be responsible for taking the lead role for the overall Workday Testing Experience with expertise in Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, Payroll and Integration modules.

This position requires extraordinary drive and forward-thinking, a high level of multitasking and collaboration abilities, along with the flexibility to grow with additional responsibilities and efficiently respond to changing priorities. This person is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can successfully create automated test scripts and framework to assist the manual testing process. The Senior Automation Engineer’s responsibilities include both coding automated test scripts and QA Testing tasks which focus on robustness, testability, security, and performance of the software.


· Establish tools and repositories for storage and tracking of testing scenarios and track execution of test scenarios.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders such as IT and HR on all cross-functional dependencies.

· Establish all management reports to track testing execution, and quality analysis

· In collaboration with Project Functional Workstream Leads, establish criteria for Entry and Exit criteria.

· Work with other Workstream leads to establish timely baseline for all test cases and scenarios.

· Test lead to set a daily/weekly test scenario execution target to complete testing within the given time frame. If the test execution falls behind, then establish a plan to get back on track.

· Develop test strategy and resource plan during the Plan Stage of the project.

· Lead Workday testing efforts for releases and changes between releases including developing and maintaining a test scenario library to support testing efforts.

· Responsible for maintaining overall testing plans including coordination of testing cycles across the Workday portfolios associated applications.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders such as IT and HR on all cross-functional dependencies.

Required Skills:

· MUST HAVE at least 3+ years’ experience with Workday implementation (not limited to HCM experience)

· MUST HAVE Experience managing and leading large implementations and teams

· MUST HAVE 5+ years QA experience

· MUST HAVE Experience with Test Automation using Kainos.

· Lead level strong QA experience (analytical, troubleshooting, process-oriented)

· Extensive experience in testing activities for Workday HCM modules and system integrations.

· Developing and completing the Test Strategy and Test Plan, including Testing calendar, Daily/weekly test execution targets (this will determine resources needed), Testing Lab/Facility, Daily/weekly testing meetings.

· Managing all project test phases and testing activities including leads from all functional areas for Unit Testing, End to End, User Acceptance, Payroll Parallel and Integrations.

· Manage the creation of test scenarios for each area and ensure test scenario are complete and have identified test data.

· Coordinating the setup of test data and test data loaded or keyed into tenant

· Ensuring the Test Cases and Test Scripts required to test all system interfaces are completed by assigned personnel on the testing team according to the project schedule.

· Manage the creation and updating of test scenarios as needed during testing execution

· Experience working closely with developers to ensure all testing layers have adequate coverage, including unit and integration.

· Good technical ability and can assist with test automation tasks and has a desire to develop their test automation skills further.

· Ensure that testers document and log discrepancies between expected results and actual results of test execution.

· Manage the defect lifecycle. Provide dashboard reporting and trend analysis.

· Ensure defect resolution per the set timelines for defect type.

· Reporting test status on a weekly basis publish reports on Defect Management, Test Progress and Test Metrics. Provide test execution status reporting.
