The Workday Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for applying the same quality standards for our HR Workday technology team. This team is responsible for all integration and security for Workday HCM and Payroll modules as well as other team member applications. With minimal supervision, this position will work closely with Product Management, Software Development Engineers, and the business to understand features and technical implementation. This position will participate, provide guidance and testing throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including the requirements gathering and design.  

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the creation of overall test strategy, testing scenarios and testing artifacts based on business and technical requirements. 

• Provide testing support for integration, security, reporting and automation for the ongoing production fixes as well as enhancements for Workday HCM and Payroll. 

• Collaborate closely with functional & technical teams throughout each test phase.

• Manage, track, and report on all test defects through to resolution. 

• Maintain an understanding of QA workflows and best practices. 

• Improve, maintain, and execute automated testing. 

• Actively participate in daily defect triage meetings during test phase execution. 

• Participate in test entry and exit review milestone meetings. 

• Actively participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint review sessions.  

Required Skills: 

• BA/BS degree and 3-5 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. (required)

• 3+ years’ experience with Workday HCM and Payroll or equivalent related to Integrations, Security, Reports and Business Process. 

• 5+ years’ experience QA experience and the testing lifecycle, particularly in manual testing and exposure automation scripting. 

• Knowledge of test management and defect management tools. 

• Working knowledge of application software development lifecycle concepts and test environment and configuration management concepts. 

• Experience with Test Automation using Kainos.

• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 

• Experience with confidentiality and discretion when working with HR data or HR System Software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated facilitation skills.
