Sr. Developers for Austin, TX location.

Job Duties

Use data services to develop prototypes, proof of concepts and production-ready development and implementation of software solutions. Build highly scalable & multi-threaded software applications, integrate and create enablement platforms. Evaluate and implement open-source frameworks to build platforms on top of data topologies from inception to design to implementation. Participate in building real-time data pipelines to produce up-to-the second reports. Participate in the design and delivery of Petabyte-scale data stores running in Amazon. Design, optimize and operate data models to store data. Technical environment: Java programming, Python for data integration, REST API (Restlet, Jersey), Big Data/NoSQL (HBase, Cassandra, Hadoop, DynamoDB, Redis, Kafka, Storm, Riak), Amazon Data Services (EMR, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, Data Pipeline, Kinesis), Solr, Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus two years of experience in the job offered or with software development/integration OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus five years of experience in the job offered or with software development/integration required.

Required Skills: Java programming, Python for data integration, REST API (Restlet, Jersey), Big Data (HBase/Cassandra/Hadoop/DynamoDB/Redis/Kafka/Storm/Riak), building highly scalable & multi-threaded applications, Solr, Natural Language Processing (NLP).
