OutboundEngine is looking to add a Sr DevOps Engineer to our Software Engineering team!

Sr DevOps Engineer

This senior-level position will own the establishment and rollout of a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery automation framework across multiple tools. This person will play a vital role on the team and must demonstrate a solid understanding of DevOps and possess a high-degree of automation skills and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical operations.
• Daily systems monitoring and management across production and non-production cloud environments
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to triage and resolve technical and user issues
• Automate and streamline operations and processes to rapidly release reliable applications faster and more frequently.
• Build and maintain tools for deployment and testing in stable and scalable production and test environments.
• Plan for and ensure adequate capacity across all services
• Automate and improve installation, configuration, backup, monitoring and alerting
• Maintain and ensure compliance to OutboundEngine cloud security policies
• Represent OutboundEngine in security reviews with customers and external parties
• Supporting Change and Configuration management processes and repositories
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud operations experience, knowledge of AWS tools and services required
• Good knowledge of administering linux environments
• Demonstrable experience in shell and at least one scripting language like python
• Experience with CI/CD tools (eg Jenkins) and understanding of CI/CD principles
• Demonstrable experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible or CloudFormation
• Deep knowledge in setting up logging / monitoring / metrics tools such as Nagios, ELK Stack, Graphite, NewRelic, etc.
• Experience writing Ant build files and working with tools such as Maven, Ivy etc
• Expert understanding load balancing, DNS, proxying and networking
• Intermediate or better understanding of application services (MariaDB, Redshift, Redis, Tomcat, S3, SQS, SNS)
• Demonstrable experience implementing secure and highly available infrastructure services using tools such as TerraForm
• Good knowledge of industry security standards and best practices
• Experience participating in or creating system security audits
• Experience using version control. We use Git.
• Experience with containers (eg docker) and server-less (eg lambda) is a plus
• Bachelor's in CS, CE or EE is preferred
