Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer
As a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:
- Write maintainable code that is flexible, elegant, and powerful.
- Delight customers with APIs and systems that are a joy to use.
- Build software solutions that can be monitored and analyzed to understand system performance and behavior.
- Increase the objective quality of new and existing software systems.
- Share technical knowledge and promoting technical excellence throughout the department.
- Contribute to projects and tooling that impact all software teams.
- Create elegant solutions (with the help of product managers and frontend engineers) using: Web/API Development, Data Reporting and Analysis, Integration with External Technologies, High level of test automation
- Create reusable components and tools shared by the entire team (or maybe the world!)
- Collaborate with front-end developers to define interactions between server and browser.
- Pursue continuous improvements to code quality and execution
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Web/API Development in Node.js (Go expertise is a plus)
- Microservices
- MySQL (Indices, Views, Stored Procedures)
- NoSQL
- Testing Frameworks
- JavaScript Application Frameworks (React, Angular etc.)
- ES6+ JavaScript syntax
- JavaScript Build Tools (webpack, gulp) and UnitTesting
- npm
- CSS/Sass
- Version Control (Git)
- Public Cloud Know-How (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure*)
- Docker or Kubernetes
- User-Story Mapping
- Software Design (Architecture, Component-Level, Abstraction, Encapsulation)
- Concise Technical Writing
- Collaboration and translation of technical concepts for a non-technical audience
- Agile Software Development
- Experience leading engineers to create robust solutions
- Experience creating or maintaining large or complex systems
- Strong understanding of design patterns and anti-patterns
- Can independently create robust solutions at a component level
- Previous Software Development Experience in a team setting
- Personal Development (Personal Projects, Side-Work, Blogging, Technical Books or Articles) preferred
