We're searching for a Senior Manager or Director of DevOps with experience leading distributed DevOps teams for one or more enterprise SaaS products. Ideally, you're a former DevOps Engineer that previously made the move to management and still have a solid grasp on the technical side of what your team does. That said, you won't be expected to directly dive into the technical weeds. You already know that excellent communication skills are a must, since you'll be collaborating with Services, Support, Product, and Software Engineering on a regular basis. Our company and team are growing incredibly quickly, so we definitely want someone that's excited to deal with the challenges that come with growth and scale!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure your teams are consistently delivering at a high pace and meeting deadlines

  • Balance and prioritize team workload across innovation, engineering support, customer support, and tech debt

  • Help your managers hire, develop, and mentor best in class DevOps Engineers

  • Assist with both infrastructure budget and personnel planning

  • Drive system design and process improvements that contribute to increasing developer velocity/throughput

  • Develop and continue to mature KPI's for your organization

  • Maximize uptime across all product lines and help lead RCA process for service interruptions

  • Help control costs to ensure target gross margin is achieved

 

Background and Experience:

  • 5+ years in a management role, preferably in DevOps or Site Reliability, over a team or teams managing public cloud infrastructure

  • 5+ years of hands on experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer

  • A track record of providing a superior customer experience

  • Direct knowledge of SOC2, ISO, or FedRAMP compliance

  • A passion for creating a culture of inclusiveness and compassion

  • A history of leveraging data to objectively measure impact and optimize people / engineering processes

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience
