Job Description Summary

This individual will direct a staff of software development, quality assurance and business analyst professionals at various levels. This position requires a well-rounded technology leader, and someone who possesses substantial expertise in building state-of-the-art, customer facing, business to business, software product solutions and a track record of rapidly delivering these commercial software products to market. The ideal candidate will have experience in web-enabling business solutions, specifically web-transactions systems, and will have delivered customer-facing revenue generating software and product solutions in a SaaS based environment. The ideal candidate will be a skillful leader, who can attract the brightest of minds, responsible for oversight and direction of all technical approaches. This individual can transfer requirements into a next generation portfolio of solutions with the ability to focus on innovation. The Sr. Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Product Development and will work very closely with our market segments, major external customers & peer leadership within the Products & Technology organization.

 

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities

* Partner with cross-functional core stakeholders within across engineering as well as SW engineering, to lead the technology direction, facilitate key technical decision points, and take the architecture specifications into working engineering outcomes.

* Ability to commit to road maps with capabilities and timelines using the agile software development methodology for new product and technology evaluation and introduction.

* Align technology to business strategy, and proactively drive a product development direction throughout the organization

* Manage multiple teams consisting of both contract and full time employees and senior level technical individuals to deliver product on time and on budget.

 

Qualifications

Requirements

* 15+ years’ proven experience in software engineering leadership roles.

* Strong engineering delivery and execution track record, with proven experience around design concepts, development, integration, testing, etc.

* Experience in hands on development roles. Ability to act as a technical lead when needed. 

* Ability to attract talent, inspire the organization, and develop the next generation of leaders.

* Ability to build trusting, meaningful relationships with peers, stakeholders, partners and suppliers.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical influencing, conflict management and external contact negotiation

* Full commitment to customer satisfaction and the highest ethical standards.

* Experience in an Agile/DevOps environment

 * Identify and drive innovation in all CCC products, solutions, technologies, and processes.

* Strong business acumen and industry insight, thought leadership.

* Leadership skills to include coaching/mentoring, critical thinking, facilitation, change leadership, and team development

* Working knowledge of enterprise level architectural patterns (client-server, n-tier, etc.), Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Design Patterns, Database Centric Processing - as they relate to scalability

* Working knowledge of common desktop and web technologies such as Java/J2EE design development, Middleware design/development, web services

* Familiarity with various IDEs and development support tools

* Experience with server farm and storage architectures in a data center facility and how this infrastructure supports Web-sites and services

* Experience in implementation and support of highly available, high transaction software environments
