As a Software Engineer on the Applications Team, you will bring your problem solving skills to our already diverse and talented group. We are seeking one person to join our existing team where we work together within the agile scrum framework. Technology is great, unless it gets in your way. We want your help in making security simple to understand and easy to use. We solve real problems for real users and push our product forward for the betterment of everyone.
Our team owns a core component to our identity and access management (IAM) solution. We are responsible for extending Duo’s service solutions into customer environments and primary identity stores. We use a combination of Python (85%) and JavaScript (15%) to deliver an exceptional user experience that is secure and unobtrusive.
We ask that you are willing to learn and contribute to our team in a meaningful way. We emphasize software craftsmanship and apply it to our development practices through Testing, Continuous Integration, Build Automation, and Mentorship. We prioritize team success highest and tend to swarm on sprint work to meet our shared goals
Skills you have…
3+ years professional software engineering experience. We are willing to hire more junior or more senior if the right candidate comes along.
You are excited by the challenges of the security field and want to help make people safe.
You have a history of writing performant, maintainable code.
You can go beyond the terminal to develop user experiences that unlock the full potential of the software you write.
You value automated testing as much as writing expressive clean code.
You already have experience with event-driven networking libraries like Twisted specifically; or asynchronous software development techniques in general.
Bonus Points for any of the following: security expertise, experience with LDAP and Radius protocol, Active Directory, React.js, Webpack, Typescript, SQL, relational database design and optimization
