Job Description Summary
Job Duties
Sr. Software Engineers for Austin, TX location. Design, develop, plan, customize and support software and related mobile applications. Analyze, test and assist to integrate new applications. Conduct analysis to determine integration needs. Assist in tracking performance metrics. Identify product and technical requirements. Perform design and code reviews, and work with Quality Assurance team to ensure applications meet specification and technical requirements. Assist in defining release criteria and selection of technologies to automate software testing capacity.
Technical Environment: Kanban, pair programming, TDD, BDD, Lean Principles, Java, JavaSE, JavaEE, JSP, spring, RDBMS, SQL, MySQL, NoSql, Rest/SOAP API definition and implementation, iBatis/My Batis, Messaging: ActiveMQ, Scrum, Junit, Log4J, Spring AOP, Jenkins, Server-Tomcat, Web services, IDE-Spring Tool Suite, Maven, distributed/cloud computing solutions, Bitbucket for version control, git, Mockito, Cucumber testing framework, PMD, Checkstyle, Findbugs, Cobertura, Spring boot.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus three years of experience in the job offered or with software development OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus five years of experience in the job offered or with software development required. Required Skills: software development experience with Java/JavaSE, JEE, JSP, spring, RDBMS, SQL, MySQL, Rest/SOAP API definition and implementation, ActiveMQ, Scrum, Junit, Log4J, Spring AOP, Jenkins, Tomcat, Web services, distributed/cloud computing solutions.
