Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning process and deployment, balanced scorecard management, process innovation, sharing and exploiting best practices, competitive analysis, and other related Supplier Quality initiatives. She/he will analyze and present alternatives, make recommendations and provide assistance in the areas of planning, performance, project management and business process re-engineering and/or improvement of Supplier Quality initiatives.
This position will serve as change leader and process owner of the Company's Supplier Quality initiatives for multiple integration Centers. Becoming a trusted and sought-after advisor to business leaders to improve overall business performance is a key measure of success. Likewise, motivating and developing a team of highly skilled professionals will be essential. Proven experience in building a sustainable center-led continuous improvement model involving various improvement methodologies (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) that drives measurable process and resource efficiencies is essential.
This has been designated as a safety-sensitive job because it involves performing one or more tasks/duties that could reasonably affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task(s) or others.
What You'll Do

Job Requirements

  • Quality Expertise: Provides Quality subject-matter-expertise through the product lifecycle, new product introductions, translates design requirements, helps establish Critical-to-Quality characteristics, throughout design, working with suppliers, supporting production, as applicable. Also provides:
    • Key design quality inputs/outputs, deliverables, and supplier requirements
    • Establish and maintain quality tools, methods, standards, and visuals
    • Provide training as needed
  • Strategic Quality Improvement:
    • Institutionalizing long-term strategic quality improvement planning
    • Supports Continuous Improvement of ATI product design
    • Monitors and reports on supplier quality and performance
    • Manage & report on internal/external corrective actions
    • Assist in Problem-Solving & Root Cause Analysis.
    • Standardizing Supplier Quality processes, metrics, and procedures
  • Budgeting and Cost Control - Plans for and uses resources efficiently; always looks for ways to reduce costs; creates accurate and realistic budgets; tracks and adjusts budgets; contributes to budget planning of the Vice President of Quality.
  • Communication - Communicates well verbally and in writing; creates accurate and punctual reports; delivers presentations; shares information and ideas with others; has good listening skills
  • Quality Culture Improvement- Contributes to create, present, and support implementation of creating a culture of operational excellence

  • Project Management - Establishes project goals, milestones, and procedures; defines roles and responsibilities; acquires project resources; coordinates projects throughout company; monitors project progress; manages multiple projects simultaneously
  • Problem Solving/Analysis - Breaks down problems into smaller components; understands underlying issues and can simplify and process complex issues; understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts
  • An assertive, yet collaborative and team-oriented leadership style, with experience influencing diverse components of the company. Must possess the vision, tough-mindedness, and political savvy to effectively manage across functional teams within a structure that requires influencing at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Energetic, innovative, and resourceful in overcoming barriers and ensuring solutions which are accepted and effective
  • Develop strategies and programs, as well as leading projects that improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes of the company as it relates to supplier quality.
  • Support the annual strategic planning process resulting in a comprehensive strategic plan, integrated with planning and budgeting and the balanced scorecard strategy management process


Working/Application Knowledge of the following:

  • Lean, Continuous Improvement, Value-Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, WIP, Cycle-time Analysis, Cell Mfg., Visual Controls, Lean Wastes, Kaizen, JIT, SPC, DMAICR KPC/CTQ, Root Cause Analysis, Cause & Effect, 8D/CAPA, 5 Why?, APQP, Process Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, DFM, Process Flow Diagrams, Performance Metrics/Scorecards, Quality Data Analysis, and Variation Reduction.


Working knowledge/familiarity of Industry Standards...such as the following (examples)

  • AIAG, ANSI, ISO, AS, SAE, IPC, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485, AS9100, AS9103, D1-9001, AMAT SSQA, ISO/TS 16949, others.


What We're Looking For
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field or experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience
  • Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Data Systems, MS/Power/BI
  • History of leadership accomplishments in various organizations / industries
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and be team oriented.
  • Broad knowledge of Quality Assurance Sciences, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Business Processes.
  • Preferred:
    • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer, Lean Manufacturing Certification, Hands-on application experience in deploying improved Quality Systems internally and externally, Supplier Auditing, Supplier, Design, & Production Quality Engineering.
    • Working History/Familiarity with electronic design, product manufacturing and associated special processes. (Powder coating, injection molding, welding, machining, metal fab, etc.)
    • Ability to speak multiple languages a plus (Spanish/Chinese)
    • Functional knowledge of the gaming, development, manufacturing, and/or technology industries
    • Demonstrated successful track record of leading organizational transformation in transactional processes and services
    • Team oriented business leader with solid history of career progression and demonstrated operational leadership
    • Executive presence - able to present strong arguments, persuasive cases in collaborative manner with executive colleagues to engender trust and decision making
    • This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate. (Includes, but not limited to FBI Background check, others)


Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands

  • Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/workstation and respond to written and oral cues.
  • • Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
  • • May be required to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • • Frequent Domestic and International travel up to 30% Required. - Must be open and willing to travel to Domestic & International locations
