Scope:
Lead all Domain Architecture activities that guide the development and execution of technical and infrastructure solutions which enable the organization's future-state business capabilities and drive the organization’s targeted business-outcomes. Provides high-level leadership, facilitation, analysis and technical design tasks required for the development of the enterprise’s technical and infrastructure architecture.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with domain architecture peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, solutions and security architects) to analyze enterprise business context, as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture viewpoints to derive the future state technology architecture. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise.
- Lead analysis and research of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise as well as on the enterprise technology architecture. Assists with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise architecture compliance of initiatives and products.
- Conduct analysis of current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement. Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the desired and current state.
- Drive digital transformation by leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.
- Guide portfolio investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes. Contribute to metrics definition and measurements that demonstrate enterprise technology value and provide an enterprise technology health assessment.
- Understand, advocate, and augment domain architecture development and service delivery. Promote and integrate the cross-functional architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results, in order to lead the communication or marketing activities needed to ensure enterprise success and use.
- Consult on technology implementation and modification activities, particularly for new or shared infrastructure solutions.
- Create and deliver working, production-ready reference implementations that can be leveraged easily by agile teams.
- Work closely with the portfolio managers, product owners and domain architecture peers to enable infrastructure agility, scalability and resilience to support required product needs throughout product lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 8 years of design and implementation and/or enterprise architecture experience in a technology / software role.
- Led integrations from technical, operational and support perspective.
- Experience leading architectural transformation across the business.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments.
- Leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: portfolio/product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related technical Master’s degree.
- Extensive knowledge in any of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application design and development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, servers and storage, database management and operations, clustering technologies, virtualization, cloud technologies and active directory and protocols.
- Experience in an agile environment.
- Experience in a strategic consulting environment.
- Experience in the food, distribution or hospitality industry.
