Dealerware is currently 100% remote work (during COVID) and then moving to a Hybrid model that we anticipate being early 2022.
Dealerware has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Test Automation Engineer to assist with ensuring quality in our product. We are looking for someone who has professional experience implementing efficient and effective automated test plans.
Ideal candidates will have diverse experience with all phases of software testing on a variety of platforms: mobile devices, front-end and back-end services, and experience with industry standard test automation tools and frameworks. Applicants should have at least 6 years of software testing experience.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will:
- Work with Agile delivery/Scrum teams to understand product backlogs; develop robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation tests to support continuous testing and delivery.
- Comprehend and decompose user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated across all levels of testing.
- Establish quality goals, track, and report key quality metrics to assure full test coverage of functional and non-functional requirements to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze and understand the current technology architecture, system interdependencies and application stacks.
- Communicate issues with greater detail and help development teams to easily understand fix issues faster or assess the level of risk.
- Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems and verifies fixes.
- Maintain a solid understanding of QA workflows and test automation best practices.
- Explore & research testing tools, methodologies and trends to update existing practices and processes.
- Provide constructive feedback on new code to improve quality and ensure testability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience working as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Automation Test Engineer.
- 3+ years experience in writing scripts for automating the testing of backend and frontend of applications
- 2+ years experience implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in Java, Ruby, Python or similar programming languages
- Experience testing restful API’s and UX
- Experience writing integration tests
- An automation first testing mindset.
- Strong knowledge of tools such as GitHub, Jira and Jenkins or equivalent.
- Familiar with DevOps, Agile methodologies/systems and working within Scrum teams
- Ability to troubleshoot the issues and interact with developers at a technical level
- Good technical foundation with ability to pick up new skills and adapt quickly.
- Desire to learn new technologies while supporting existing.
· 1+ years of experience working with a CI/CD workflow/pipeline
