The UI Developer is passionate about building innovative products, with excellent user-interfaces, that scale to thousands of users a day. NSS Labs offers developers a complex development ecosystem with short release cycles. You’ll be working with a smart and diverse team of problem solvers who exhibit high energy, deep technical skills and a drive to get things done. It is expected that the candidate will be able to be present in the office a majority of work hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build mockups and prototypes to communicate and refine product concepts.
- Contribute scalable, production-ready code for user-facing features.
- Develop reusable application components.
- Promote best practices for web user experience.
- Work closely with UX/UI to advise on technical performance and feasibility of new design ideas.
- Create and maintain suites of tests ensuring the proper functionality of systems.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for consumer web applications.
- Understands the end user and can create simple, elegant solutions.
- Loves to learn and develop new skills continuously.
- Is not afraid to jump in and do a little server side work here and there.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- BS in Computer Science or related area, or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in web development as part of a cross-functional development team.
- Hands-on expertise with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience with web frameworks and toolkits such as ReactJS, Angular or Vue.
- Demonstrated experience with Node, npm and webpack.
- Familiarity with best practices for web usability and interaction design.
- Familiarity with open source JavaScript frameworks and components with the ability to make recommendations on their usage.
- Deep understanding of browser capabilities, browser security concerns such as cross-site scripting, and cross-browser incompatibilities.
- Experience developing for mobile platforms is a plus.
- Experience building solutions for high traffic web applications a plus.
- Experience with full stack development is a plus.
- Experience with networking/security is a plus.
