We are looking for UAT Engineers with a creative edge, strong problem-solving skills and an understanding of solid QA software testing concepts to join our team. In this role, you'll participate in the design, planning, execution, monitoring, and improving testing procedures for the team. The successful candidate will author test plans that will exercise all facets of the system to ensure our applications are of the highest quality.  Lightspeed’s products span appliances, mobile apps, and networking, all the way up to cloud-based SaaS/web applications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be working closely with our dynamic and fast-paced environment and be responsible for:

  • Creating Test Plans, Test Strategies and Produce Test Metrics.
  • Work with Scrum Team in definition and creation of Epics, User Stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and implements software/systems testing standards and procedures, and coordinate testing.
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and Stories Definition
  • Ability to identify UAT environment needs, triage issues and determine mitigations to drive up-time.
  • Develop test scenarios from User Stories/acceptance criteria.
  • Develop automation scripts to execute automated regression tests
  • Execute and report test outcomes
  • Compile test results
  • Participate in testing and QA meetings
  • Identify and communicate test data requirements for test execution.
  • Reproducing and documenting reported issues to help drive prioritization with the product teams
  • Engage stakeholders to actively assist in testing efforts.
  • Maintain backlog in Defect Management tool and coordinate with customer support team.
  • Collaboration with our Partners and Vendors
  • Manage Production Support Team activities, on-call ceremonies and the escalation process
  • All other duties as assigned or directed

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) plus years’ work experience with commercial software development projects
  • Three (3) years of experience with Relational databases SQL/Oracle
  • Three (3) years of experience knowledge and application of risk analysis in QA process, including documentation. 
  • Three (3) years of experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria
  • Three (3) years of experience proven knowledge of different software development life cycles  and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automation tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Other agile Certifications
  • Proficient in SCCM, GPO, and other deployment methods
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable presenting and pitching new ideas to senior management teams in large settings
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
