NSS Labs is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer in Austin, Texas to join our Research Engineering group.  In this role, you will work closely with our offensive research team and internal customers to develop new processes, build out, and maintain production infrastructure and test environments.  

 

 

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work with research team to create new capabilities into our existing product.
  • Collaborate with Test, Research and Engineering team to verify and validate the capabilities of the built tools.
  • Guide, Mentor and Collaborate with Junior team members and Peers.

 

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Fluent in approaches to security, concurrency, debugging, performance, scalability, supportability and quality.
  • Excellent understanding of the Windows Internals.
  • At least five years recent experience building syste-ms-level software (e.g. kernel modules, agents).
  • Reversing or malware analysis experience.
  • Kernel development experience.
  • Deep knowledge in at least two related product or technical areas such as file systems or distributed systems.
  • Proven experience as a Team Lead or a Tech Lead in the areas of OS internals (security, storage, etc.)
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Data driven decision taking and prioritizing approaches
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
