You possess the accounting knowledge, administrative skills, and project management capabilities to be a proven value-add to our customer-focused practice. As a contractor at ScaleFactor you will work alongside our accounting team in managing the 1099 filings for small businesses. You will be the main ScaleFactor contact for 1099 matters and will be responsible for several ongoing projects at one time. 

Skills & Qualifications:

• Problem-solving and proactive decision-making
• Ability to successfully handle multiple customers’ work concurrently
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Expertise in full-cycle 1099 preparation and filing
• Excellent follow through and communication skills to successfully connect with customers and other members of the team
• Experienced with W-9 collection
• Technology savvy (QBO, Xero, Track1099, Excel, Zoom)

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing multiple accounting files from start to finish for the 1099 filing process (i.e. identifying population of vendors for W-9 collection to electronic filings of 1099's)
• Communicate with customers to collect data needed for filing process
• Communicate with client and account manager regarding 1099 details and issues
