JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Responsibilities:

As an accounting manager, you are the custodian of ScaleFactor’s customer relationship among other things and your day to day includes but not limited to the following:

• You regularly interact with our customers and enable them to perform their core accounting functions by providing overall support for their financial and accounting operations
• You get to map and advise customers on their business processes
• You are a leader in implementing new ScaleFactor software internally and externally as it is rolled out
• You are a driver of process and efficiency improvements and excited about being a catalyst of change in a start-up environment
• You provide quality control and are ultimately responsible for deliverables our clients receive adhere to ScaleFactor’s high quality standards
• You teach and help sharpen the technical skills of the Staff Accountants & Specialists in your team
• You educate and help our customers understand their financials and the KPIs that can be measured to drive their business’ performance
• You manage customer and team expectations and set clear and realistic expectations internally and externally
• You problem solve and provide a path forward and next steps for your customers and your team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting with 5 to 10 years experience in accounting and equivalent roles
• 2+ years experience as a manager and 2+ years experience in customer facing / consultative roles
• Experience working with start-up companies and fast growing businesses
• Technological optimist with experience using various platforms plus a working knowledge of cloud accounting tools including but not limited to Xero, QBO, Gusto, Bill.com, and Abacus
• Solid understanding of accounting life-cycle and all that it entails for startups and growing businesses to succeed
• Passion for FinTech and SaaS

Bonus Points:

• Master’s degree or CPA a plus
• Experience in SaaS start-up company
• Experience with adopting and implementing new software
