Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the managing and maintenance of all phases of the accounts receivable process including invoicing, payment receipt, auditing, reporting and collections.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable and ensure the accuracy of invoices
- Receive check and electronic payments and apply them to the appropriate invoices
- Review closing statements for each home sale and update invoices accordingly
- Contact customers regarding late and incorrect payments
- Negotiate or influence customers to correct past due balances
- Track and report status of AR accounts
- Recommend and implement improvements to AR processes
- Respond to customer questions regarding open balances
- Research and reconcile discrepancies found in payment, invoicing or supporting documentation
- Other duties as assigned by management
What We Like To See / Measures of Success:
- At least an Associates Degree in Business or Accounting combined with 2 years experience in Accounts Receivable or Collections. Degree may be substituted with 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Collections
