We're hiring for a remote Business Systems Analyst to join our cost accounting team. In this position, you will work with an awesome team of cost analysts and health ministry (HM) resources. We provide cost results for approximately 115+ acute hospitals and expanding our work efforts to include multiple physician practices. Syntellis Performance Manager is the cost accounting system utilized.
What You Will Do
Serve as a key liaison for a group of HMs to understand, explain, monitor and improve cost results.

• Perform monthly general ledger (GL) reconciliations comparing GL data in the Syntellis Performance Manager cost accounting system to the PeopleSoft (PS) income statement.
• Review new departments and make monthly cost system updates.
• Validate and process cost for assigned HMs. Steps include integrating data, remapping GL data to better align for cost accounting purposes, perform overhead and service item allocations.
• Audit cost results at various checkpoints.
• Identify and research issues and/or questions with cost team, chargemaster contacts and HM resources.
• Review chargemaster details looking for reasonableness of price, volume and relative value units (RVUs).
• Prepare and post monthly cost audit reports.

What You Will Need
Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Additional Preferences

• Proficient in Excel and WORD required
• Knowledge of Google Docs and Google Sheets desirable
• Knowledge of Syntellis Performance Manager desired
• Ability to work with minimal supervision is a must since this is a remote position
• Critical thinking, analytical skills and ability to manage priorities required
• Self-starter and flexible with the ability to adjust as demands/priorities change
• 3 years of experience preferred.
