Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, forward thinking, licensed tax professional that is passionate about the growth and success of individuals and small businesses. We want a smart and savvy individual that is looking to disrupt the Accounting industry. You must be customer and revenue-driven individual, comfortable in delivering accounting advice and assistance via new and novel mediums.

What you’ll do:

• Provide tax advice and assistance to LegalZoom customers (individual and small business clients) on various aspects of the tax requirements and benefits
• Train internal staff on tax-related topics and talking points to help drive revenue
• Support Innovation team to help create accounting-based products and offerings
• Collaborate and strategize with Senior Leadership team to support corporate objectives
• Attend sales role plays and contact center call shadowing to
• Implement tax strategies, provide advice about tax legislation and undertake related account administration on behalf of individuals and small businesses
• Stay current on various tax laws and alert appropriate groups regarding changes and updates
• Strategize with clients to minimize tax liability

You must have:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
• Significant knowledge of individual and business tax laws
• Experience in selling tax related products and services
• Able to explain financial concepts to clients with a degree of wit and personality via chat, email, or phone
• Familiarity with financial statements
• Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm for providing financial advice in an extremely fast-paced, non-traditional environment
• The competence and confidence to tell clients what you would do if you were the client
• Superb oral and written communication skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CPA
• Excellent financial judgment and business acumen
• Practical and commonsense skills to understand the needs of small businesses and start-ups
• The ability to effectively translate accounting and financial principles to small business owners and start-ups in terms they will understand
• Significant experience with providing tax advice to clients in person, over the phone, or via chat
• Experience with creating and reviewing various tax and financial documents
• Experience and general enjoyment working with small businesses and start-ups
• The ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines
