Corporate Controller
Position Description:
We are seeking a Controller to help create and lead our Accounting function. In general, this person would be responsible for all accounting operations, including period-end close, AP and AR, cash management, managing third-party firms (e.g., audit and tax), and implementing internal controls for GAAP-compliant financial statements.
Specific responsibilities will include:
This role will report to the Head of Finance & Operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year university
- Active CPA license
- A minimum of 5-7 years of work experience with a Public/Private mix in Ecommerce or Retail industry
- Strong technical US GAAP knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across departments to implement new processes and improve upon existing processes
- Proven track record in identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Natural curiosity, strong attention to detail and a bias toward action
- Prior experience with Quickbooks and/or NetSuite software desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Utmost character, honesty, and transparency so as to accurately represent our brand ethos
