Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to support the rapid growth in our Home Office based in Austin, Texas! Reporting to our Director or Product Development, on our Sourcing team, our Costing Manger will positively represent the brand while delivering detailed costing data to cross functional partners and senior leadership. This role combines the need for proven analytical experience with exceptional strategic and concise communication.
Responsibilities:
Analysis
• Drive best practices in data collection and analysis
• Improve transparency into the business to inform and support the sourcing team’s decisions and actions
• Responsible for collecting, evaluating, and analyzing costing information to provide direction to the organization
• Perform analysis on costing information to identify opportunities for savings and turn into recommendations
• Help create, prepare and present business cases
• Develop and maintain tools related to collecting information and performing analysis
• Update, maintain, and support usage of standardized cost sheet and related aggregation of data
• Develop new tools to support business needs
• Support ad-hoc operational and strategic initiatives as required
Communication
• Support Sourcing team in vendor relationships as it relates to costing
• Contribute to negotiation strategy development and execution
• Prepare documentation and share strategies to cross functional partners and senior leadership
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years’ experience in related fields such as business, accounting and/or finance, mathematics, computer science for a high-growth company
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel is required
• Experience with VBA, SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau a plus
• Basic knowledge of economic, finance, operations and business strategy concepts
• Exceptional analytical quantitative problem solving and project management skills
• A proven ability to break down larger initiatives into consumable achievable tasks to achieve departmental and company objectives
• Ability to clearly articulate plans and ensure team is aligned
• A solutions-oriented mentality with a data driven approach
• Jewelry and Accessory experience required; preferable Product Development
• A growth mindset: track record of leveraging past learnings, encouraging new ideas and smart risk taking in self and others
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions collaboratively
