Position Summary

VCG Finance & Administration practice is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented corporate operations executive to lead its Governance segment. This role will report directly into the Managing Director and be responsible for creating processes and practices to improve the efficiency and operational effectiveness of the contract, real estate, procurement, and business risk management functions within Vista’s portfolio of companies.

This role will work closely with Vista’s general counsel office and be a thought leader to VCG and portfolio company stakeholders at all levels. This is a generalist role that involves managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by enterprise operations. You must be able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs and must be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating action plans.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive strategic and operational initiatives with on-time and on-budget results
• Report on key operational and substantive metrics for the practice group that will better inform decision-making, including subject matter and work product analyses
• Identify and oversee the implementation of contract lifecycle management and procurement function tools to streamline new or existing practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional company teams including finance, procurement, sales, support, service, business development, regulatory, and IT as well as various other business units
• Interact effectively with client executives, vendors and third-party providers
• Facilitate networking opportunities between portfolio companies to enhance best practice sharing
• Lead and/or participate in internal initiatives to improve VCG tools, processes, quality and results
• Gather and analyze business requirements and critical data elements across the entire legal and governance function
• Serve as an expert in systems, work-flow configuration, integration with third-party solutions, and guide configuration decisions to align capabilities, Vista Best Practices and the needs of the business for results
• Develop and deliver training on critical business systems and processes
• Review contract and procurement processes, deliver recommendations for process improvements and assist Vista companies with the implementation of such recommendations
• Evolve the emerging real estate and business risk advisory function within the Governance segment

Qualifications

• B.A or B.S. required, MBA, MLS, or JD preferred
• 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience working in the Legal, Procurement, Governance, or related fields
• Strong experience in developing, implementing, and using technology solutions (e.g., CLMs, e-signature tools, IP management, etc.)
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, CorpIT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving environment
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple, tight deadlines
• Prior experience developing playbooks, policies, and structured, reportable workflows
• Ability to travel up to 60%, with longer and/or weekend travel required at critical periods
