JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Today, with 72 employees and growing, ScaleFactor’s intuitive software automates accounting, reporting, tax and other financial operations to save business owners time and money. ScaleFactor’s team of dedicated experts are on a mission to revolutionize accounting and finance solutions and empower business owners to make the best strategic financial decisions to scale their businesses. We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our rapidly growing team.

About You:

ScaleFactor’s Director of Finance will be a highly strategic, operational leader, and partner to the CEO

Responsibilities:

Our Director of Finance will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and accounting with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

  • Ownership of the company's financial plan including regular updates and adjustments to the financial model and communication of key elements to the management team
  • Strategically indulge in heavy brainstorming discussions to enable decision makers to understand the financial impact of their ideas and strategies. Discuss “what if” scenarios as needed
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts including financial analysis of major initiatives to assess ROI, Payback Period, Risk, Failure, etc
  • Manage investor communications and collaborate with the executive team to meet investor stakeholder objectives
  • Complete budget vs. actual variance analysis and drive accountability across the company
  • Drive compliance with key industry standards / customer audit requirements
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives including consistent interactions with our accounting team for process improvement
  • Project manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously and spearhead special projects from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) plus years experience in a mid to senior level finance or accounting position required. Experience working with a venture-backed SaaS company (post Series A) preferred
  • Expert knowledge in SaaS metrics and how financial decisions impact these metrics
  • Experience and knowledge of developing and presenting business plans, models, and financial forecasts to management and the investment community
  • You have a proven track record in building, motivating and leading teams & businesses
  • You possess a deep desire to be a part of a fast growing, beautifully chaotic VC backed startup where everyone is working on their life's work, together

Bonus points:

  • Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, CPA, CMA or CFA preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a rapidly growing tech start-up environment
  • You have previously raised VC financing
