We are looking for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to be responsible for the forecast, budget and financial reports for management to support deep understanding of financial results. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and takes pride in building out and honing financial models. We are looking for someone who thrives on analyzing business performance and iterating on forecasting, modeling and reporting to communicate results and impact business decisions. This is in the Finance team and reports to the Head of Finance and Corporate Development. The Director will work with a team of financial analysts and will develop cross-functional relationships with executive staff, sales, operations and analytics.
Responsibilities:
· Directs the monthly and quarterly forecasting process and the annual budgeting process
· Owns the financial and headcount models which includes ongoing maintenance, review and evolution as the business evolves
· Monitors performance to plan and forecast throughout the year, highlights trends, analyzes causes of variances, and proposes action items on findings
· Works with departments to develop department-specific financial and KPI reporting
· Directs the preparation of weekly and monthly management reports and variance analyses
· Prepares weekly cash forecast projections
· Directs and reviews the preparation and submission of commission calculations for bi-weekly payroll, working cross-functionally with analytics and payroll
· Prepares payroll reporting and analyzes payroll variances to plan and forecast
· Works with Accounting and directs the financial analysts in support of the monthly close process which includes review of draft financials and providing feedback
What We Like to See:
· 8+ years of finance experience with 2+ years as a manager/director
· BS Degree in Finance or Accounting with demonstrated achievement from a top, well-known university
· Strong analytical skills; enjoys dissecting problems; approaches problems from different perspectives to suggest and implement solutions
· Very experienced at building financial models and forecasts
· Deep understanding of GAAP and overall accounting principles, FP&A, budgeting & forecasting, financial modeling, financial reporting
· Takes pride in being highly detail-oriented
· Enjoys being organized and has strong project management capabilities
· Anticipating what’s needed or expected next comes naturally
· Self-driving with a deep sense of ownership, takes pride in accuracy and quality of work produced
· Prefers to base decisions on data and ROI
· Sees themselves as an optimizer who evaluates inputs for the most optimal outcome

· Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
· Experience with Oracle, Cognos TM1, Tableau or other business intelligence systems a plus
