Director of GTM Finance - Location Flexible
Role Description
As the Director of Go-to-Market (GTM) Finance, you will help develop and drive our GTM strategy in partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer (GCO) and her leadership team. This role will drive financial insights and value with a particular focus on strategy and execution to enable and accelerate long term growth for Dropbox. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding and predictability to the GCO financials, while supporting a wide range of strategic analysis and decision-making for the group.
You will have the business maturity to set ambitious goals and the intellectual horsepower to derive deep, data-driven insights that will help us realize those goals. You’ll be equally comfortable working side by side with the both the business and the CFO organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the GCO leadership team and serve as a thought leader in shaping the financial framework for our Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Business Development teams.
- Manage both the top and bottom lines for our GCO business. Partner with Sales leadership to ensure financial models reflect the GCO strategies, margin targets, and investment priorities across the organization.
- Lead the forecasting, financial analysis, modeling, and planning activities to support the GCO organization. Deliver monthly and quarterly analysis and reporting of business financial results including BvAs, QBRs, and other analysis key to business operations, including ARR, Revenue, Expenses, & other GCO goals
- Bring new thinking and ways of doing things to the function, including analyzing and pushing new metrics and performance indicators to help identify trends.
- Partner with broader FP&A team to support company-wide financial modeling and ad-hoc projects including decision support around revenue metrics and customer analytics.
- Develop, manage, and enable growth for members of your high-performing FP&A team.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience at a publicly -traded company. Sales Finance experience a must, preferably in the technology space.
- Prior experience building and analyzing the revenue forecast for Sales and Marketing functions
- Extensive experience building working relationships with business partners and executives; you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proven track record of developing people and leading and managing high-performing teams
- You are energized by a challenge, are forward-thinking, credible and dedicated to producing high quality work.
- You have demonstrated excellence in business analytics and tools. You have advanced Excel skills; and systems experience such as Tableau, Planning Systems (Hyperion) and Oracle Financials highly desirable.
