We're seeking a Director to oversee our Global Risk and Payments Operations teams. This role is primarily focused on scaling our operations whilst working towards our ambitions within the International payment and commerce space. The ideal candidate will build trust in payments for consumers, merchants, developers, and advertisers by providing excellent service, as well as building world class risk management detection systems and processes. This position plays a pivotal role, strategically, given the expanding surfaces in which Facebook has enabled commerce. We provide a secure and safe place for Facebook's community to transact, ranging from person-to-person money transfer on Messenger, to buying and selling goods on Facebook Marketplace, to donating to non-profits and personal fundraisers, to purchasing Oculus devices and digital goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent communications and relationship building skills at all levels within an organization. The ability to achieve results through others is essential and requires close alignment with legal, product, partnerships, engineering, sales, finance and sister operations teams to drive Facebook’s most important strategic priorities. This is a full-time role based in our Menlo Park HQ or Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our global R&P team to drive measurable business outcomes enabling product adoption while minimize risk exposure

  • Ability to drive measurable business outcomes through risk monitoring, fraud investigating, payments optimization, agent performance management, and reviewing merchant activity

  • Innovate through the tools, procedures, and workflows that minimize risk and enhance customer experiences

  • Partner with cross-functional partners to build risk management, trust & safety, and customer service considerations into our future product plans

  • Collaborate with our product, partnerships, and finance teams to ensure we are meeting our operational, service and revenue goals

  • Report on financial loss, risk trends, and system and process gaps to executive leaders within Facebook

  • Continue to scale global teams by identifying opportunities for increased effectiveness and efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS Degree or international equivalent of an educational degree

  • 10+ years experience with either operations, risk management, trust and safety, regulatory management, payment, or consulting

  • 5+ years people management experience

  • Experience with relationship management and working within and representing a global organization

  • Experience with strategic thinking with an analytical and problem solving approach

  • Experience identifying, utilizing and communicating performance metrics

  • Communication experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a multinational, contact/call center environment

  • Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority
