We buy homes on behalf of our partners’ clients with our cash, then the client buys the home back from us.
Founder and CEO Tim Heyl, a 10-year industry veteran and owner of one of the fastest-growing agent teams in the country, started Homeward in 2018. In fact, he bought our first customer’s home with his own life savings. Today we offer two services — Buy with cash and Buy before you sell.
We’ve raised more than $160MM in equity capital from top-tier venture investors, including Norwest, Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, Adams Street, Javelin, and LiveOak. Our leadership team includes experts from the real estate, mortgage, and technology industries.
About the opportunity
Homeward Title is looking for an accomplished, high performing Escrow Officer to join our team. This person is responsible for providing an impeccable experience to our customers and agents as it relates to the Title part of the Homeward process.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities will include:
- Processing escrow documents in accordance with established company policies and procedures and TDI regulations
- Acting as a neutral third-party between buyers and sellers during all real estate transactions, managing funds and processing all related transaction details
- Completing transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling, preparing, and reviewing all closing documents; disbursing related funds
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and focus on deadlines will determine your success in this role
- Providing an incredible customer experience by being informative, responsive, patient, and friendly in all interactions
About you:
- 3+ years of Escrow Officer experience
- Knowledge of legal documents with ability to analyze and evaluate documents as they relate to closings
- Software experience with Ramquest or Qualia strongly desired. Experience with Softpro, Resware, LandTech, or similar software will also be considered.
- Must be licensed in Texas
- Experience in Colorado and/or Georgia a major plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional communication skills with clients
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Deadline-driven.
