About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our fast-growing, dynamic company. The Financial Analyst will serve as a trusted partner to the accounting and finance teams to support the company’s growth and strategy. Primary responsibilities will initially involve the determination and calculation of the sales teams’ commissions and the auditing thereof. Over time, responsibilities will expand to include financial forecasting/analysis and performing ad-hoc analyses for the accounting and finance teams

Must live in Austin, TX or the surrounding area
Job Description:

  • You will work closely with the Finance Director and accounting/finance teams for budgeting, forecasting, and other analytical processes
  • Determine and calculate commission amounts for the sales teams
  • Audit commission data by utilizing various reporting systems to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Board and Operational reporting packages
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis
  • Review departmental revenue and expense data and provide variance analysis monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Evaluate current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Improve performance by evaluating business processes to drive efficiencies
  • Assist in developing financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes
  • Assist in preparing presentations to the leadership team
  • Prepare recommendations for implementation in department budgets
  • Produce short and long-range projections by applying forecasting and financial analytic techniques to assess the impact of budget changes utilizing current organization-wide and/or department-specific software
  • Assist in monthly close and investigate variances to budget. Help drive close process for accounting team

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to productively collaborate across multiple teams and personalities
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong modeling, analytical skills and business acumen
  • Highly skilled in Excel, including modeling, scenario analysis, automation
  • Experience working with large ERP (NetSuite experience is a plus). Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Leads by example and drives performance with an aim of continuous improvement
  • Values that align with Atmosphere

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • 2-3+ years of accounting or corporate finance experience
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and DOMO a plus
