Assist Accounting Management in eliciting and documenting requirements for Accounting processes, develop and design test plan and acceptance criteria, execute test plan according to criteria, and exception tracking and reporting.

Ability to quickly learn navigating internal systems and propose testing strategy to meet Accounting business requirements
Performs user acceptance testing by verifying calculations performed by tech/automation solutions are complete and accurate based on business requirements and financial reporting standards
Tests functionality alongside business subject matter experts and independently with minimal guidance
Ensures issues uncovered during testing are tracked and validates that corrective actions taken by development resolve those issues found during UAT
Supports the development of the business analysis, including participating in the creation and implementation of templates and improvement of the relevant sections of the development life cycle
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance with a focus in Management Information Systems (MIS) required. Education in MIS may be substituted with 2 years of work experience.
Experience working in real estate operations, construction, property rehabilitation and preservation, and property management industry preferred
Strong business analytical skills and Excel experience required
Must be able to comprehend and write intermediate to complex Excel formulas for testing IT solutions
Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query strongly preferred
Experience with Yardi, Salesforce, Tableau and JIRA preferred
Knowledge of best practices for software testing methodology and techniques as well as GAAP Accounting required
Experience with documenting software product requirements and acceptance criteria
