We are currently searching for a highly motivated FP&A Analyst to join our growing Finance team. In this critical position, success requires strong analytical skills, great communication & interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to prioritize & execute in a fast paced business environment. This role will work closely with the FP&A and Accounting teams as well as cross functionally to drive efficiencies in the organization and ensure accurate, timely, visibility into the Company’s financial results. In this high visibility role, you will have the opportunity to partner with Senior management to improve bottom line performance, while continuing to develop and grow your career at DISCO.
What You'll DoBudget & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, re-forecasting and long-term strategic planning models
- Establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (including senior management and department leads), and serve as the central Finance contact throughout budget process
- Collaborate with business leadership across the organization to provide insights on strategic issues and assumptions to incorporate in planning models
- Provide perspectives on forecasted performance and implications on cash flow and balance sheet positions across multiple scenarios
- Perform ad hoc financial modeling and analyses as required
Monthly and Quarterly Analysis & Reporting
- Perform month end close process by assisting Accounting team with researching general ledger activities, analyzing variances to budget and prior year, and preparing customized reports
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and develop financial templates and models in support of the reporting process
- Provide timely and effective communication of month end results, budget to actual variance analysis, and specialized reporting to department owners
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting for external stakeholders and debt compliance
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in financial reporting, processes, and planning systems to support analysis and decision making
- Perform other duties and projects related to role as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- 2+ years of applicable experience in FP&A, Accounting or Corporate Finance
- Advanced Excel modeling skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, advanced lookup and reference functions)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Prior experience in fast moving/innovative SaaS technology environment, ideally one growing at least 50% YoY
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills to provide insights to provide analysis and variance explanations related to the financial statements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and contribute to process improvement efforts
