FP&A Manager

Opcity is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our Finance team. The FP&A Manager will assist with FP&A responsibilities and with developing FP&A best practices, procedures and processes. The FP&A Manager is a key partner to senior leaders across the Company in support of understanding what drives business performance. The ideal candidate for this role is an analytical, intellectually curious thinker who enjoys using data to find insights and make decisions. This person will be comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys partnering with business leaders to find optimal solutions.
Areas of Ownership:
- Organize and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to identify and explain trends, problems, and root causes
- Work cross-functionally to create visibility into financial performance and understand key operational metrics within the organization to recommend new opportunities and identify risks
- Create and manage dynamic and scalable financial models, developing compelling outputs that track business metrics and performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Administer and provide variance analysis for company planning, forecasting and reporting including dashboard, operating and management reporting packages
- Partner with business leaders and department heads to lead the annual budgeting process.
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance and flow through findings to forecast
- Propose action items on findings such as additional analyses to perform, reports we can create or other ways to improve business performance and decision-making
- Work closely with teams across all departments to identify needs for reporting and analysis and lead projects to completion
- Assist in implementing FP&A planning tool
- Conduct ad-hoc planning and analysis to support the department and senior management
The Ideal Profile:
- 5+ years of relevant finance experience (FP&A, investment banking, private equity or management consulting); experience at a technology or other high-growth company a plus
- BS Degree in Finance or Accounting Advanced financial modeling and quantitative skills with a passion for using data to drive better decision-making
- Deep knowledge of the business metrics that are critical to the evaluation of the company’s performance
- Can synthesize large amounts of data into clearly communicated and actionable recommendations to support company's long-term goals
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting a must
- Positive attitude with ability to adapt to changing business priorities and requirements
- Superior attention to detail is critical for this role
- Quick learner and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven, entrepreneurial culture
- Comfort with ambiguity Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team player and someone who is coachable and enjoys teaching/sharing knowledge
- Strong, innate appetite for growth and constant improvement
- Proactive, self-starter who doesn’t hesitate to ask questions
- Strong work ethic and can self-manage against deadlines Acute sense of integrity, honesty, and character
- Expert in Excel and PowerPoint, and strong in Google Doc Suite
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, Adaptive Insights, Cognos TM1, Tableau or other business intelligence systems a plus
